This guide describes ambulances in general. What the ambulance for your trip carries, and who travels with the patient, is confirmed by our dispatcher before you book.
Square Hospital is in West Panthapath, Dhaka 1205. This page is for families who need to move a patient to or from it. We are not part of the hospital and do not speak for it. For doctors, appointments, departments and prices, use the hospital’s official website or hotline.
Where it is
West Panthapath, near Green Road and Dhanmondi. Traffic here builds up at office and school hours, so the dispatcher gives you an arrival time when you call, not before.
Arranging an ambulance to Square Hospital
- Ask the hospital first. Call the emergency desk, tell them the patient’s condition and ask whether they can receive the patient. Ask for the name of the accepting doctor.
- Call us with the pickup address and “Square Hospital, Panthapath” as the destination. See our areas in Dhaka.
- Tell us what the doctor advised for the journey, for example oxygen or an ICU vehicle. For ICU-level transfers see our ICU ambulance service.
- Agree the fare. We tell you the full fare before the ambulance leaves.
Moving a patient out of Square Hospital
For a discharge home, to another hospital or to a district, tell us the ward and floor and when the patient will be ready. We can take patients to any district: see Dhaka to any district.
What to bring
- The patient’s referral or discharge papers
- Any recent reports and the list of medicines
- A phone that stays on
What we do not do
We do not book hospital beds or doctor appointments, and we cannot tell you which ward has space. Only the hospital can.
Other hospitals people ask about are in our guide to private hospitals in Dhaka.
Call 01919-339689 any time. A dispatcher answers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
